About the instructor

Aaron is a CPA and SMSF Specialist, is the CEO & Co-Founder of The SMSF Academy.

Aaron is a former nationally ranked high jumper, having achieved a personal best of 2.14m. He is married to wife Natalie, with three young children - twins, Ella & Thomas and Benjamin.

When Aaron is not talking about superannuation, you will find him talking about sport, especially AFL football.

The Changing Face of SMSF training takes a look at the latest technical and regulatory issues impacting SMSFs, 

In this session, Aaron explores the following topics:

  •  the recent legislation on downsizer contributions, 
  • transfer balance credits for certain LRBA repayments, 
  • the ATO’s change in view with exempt current pension income (ECPI), 
  • Update of SMSFs & Reserves post 1 July 2017; and
  • the release of the ATO’s position paper for SMSF events based reporting.
